Legal Stuff
.
Under UK law, MP3travelclub.com has legal obligations about how looks after your personal data. On the whole, these obligations are statements of common sense and good manners – we don’t dish out our friends emails and phone numbers indiscriminately – so why would we do that with our customers’ personal details ? Anyway, here is our Privacy Policy.
Copyright law is very clear all over the world, but there are those who think that anything on the Internet can legally be copied and shared. This is not so and the Terms of Use also require you to follow copyright law. For those who believe that copyright violation can be profitable, bear in mind that American courts are currently awarding damages of up to $150,000 per violation at the moment – collecting this would be much less work for me than selling MP3 tracks ! Anyway, if you read our Copyright licence, you’ll see that we have built in some flexibility for Subscribing Members.
Our Terms of Use may seem long and complicated, but we couldn’t find a lawyer who could write less ! What we wanted him to write goes a bit like this:
- Don’t copy the content without permission please – some of its ours and some of it belongs to other people who’ve licensed it to us. Talk to us and we’ll tell you where we got it if the copyright belongs to someone else and we’ll sell it to you if it’s ours
. - You can use the site, but you may not hack our site.
- We’ll take good care of your personal data – you must take good care of your password /username. If we think that several people are using one membership, we will terminate it !
- We guarantee nothing, but will do our best to meet your reasonable expectations.
- We accept no liability for anything that happens when you’re using our products – you have to use your common sense and judgment too.
- If you don’t stick to the Terms of Use, we can turn off your membership.
- We can change the Terms of Use without notice.
We ‘re sure we won’t need any of this very often, but it is there if we need it !
