The Italy country bundle includes MP3 travel guides to most of the major tourist destinations in Italy, covering places in Naples and Pompeii, Rome, Florence, Tuscany and Venice. Many of these sites of interest are of course Roman, but Italy was also wealthy during the Middle Ages.  Until unification in 1861, Italy was a nation of city states, which each needed a palace for the ruler, a cathedral, a Castle and an artist and musician at court.  But Italy’s contribution to the world is not just cultural; much of Western civilisation’s government law and politics is based on the methods of the Roman Empire.
